Rest in PeaceToday is the last edition of the Pulitzer-prize winning paper,
The Rocky Mountain News.
Considered to be one of the finest papers in our country
since it began printing 150 years ago.
Due to this economic crisis and the evolution of media to online and tv, this beautiful paper had to stop its presses today and lay off the entire staff.
I wish those people the very best.

I heard about this on the news this morning. It's very sad.
I saw this on the news today, too. Very bad news. Newspapers are the lifeline...in spite of the Internet.

That's awful! I'm so sorry to hear about this - I wish there was something that could be done about it!!!
This was very sad! I still have my "hometown newspaper". Although it is a weak shadow of its former self, I still look forward to spending Sunday morning with the paper. Internet gives me news, too, but not the same way as turning the pages.
I just hate the idea of a world without newspapers. My Christian Science Monitor daily is going weekly. Sad.
Sad. I see a similar future for Salem's Statesman.
I was very sad to hear of this too. I think our daily here in Colorado Springs, the Gazette, may be on its way out too. It would be a pity.
