Boulder Foothills and Local Farm, Sunday Morning
My son begged me for two things this morning: pancakes and a kite. After breakfast, we spent some time driving around Boulder looking for a kite. But to no avail....I don't think they sell them in the dead of winter.
I did, however, see this wonderful Boulder image
when were driving down South Boulder Road.
I love that we have so many working farms in the area!
We try to buy local when we can.

Lovely view! I've never been to Colorado. To answer your question about the meatball--actually I'm mostly vegetarian. Haven't had a burger in two years. I have no idea what makes the perfect meatball, but I do know WHO makes them: my friend Jen! That was her Cruset pot. They were cooked in tomato sauce. I couldn't help myself around those meatballs. Delicious :)

It's pretty easy to make your own kite - something that most kids love doing. It might not fly as well as a store-bought kite, but something else is gained.
